The big story in the Big Ten has been the resurgence of Michigan in Brady Hoke’s first year in charge. Well I’ve got big news for the Wolverines; the party ends this Saturday. When you think defense in College Football, you usually think of an SEC power like LSU or Alabama. Well this year the Big Ten is representing with the all-conquering Spartans. They dominate the conference rankings, leading in every major defensive category. Last year it was Michigan State that ended Denard Robinson’s Heisman hopes. In 2011, they are going to do it again. Bet on Michigan State as -1.0 favorites with Sports Interaction.
The Volunteers of Tennessee have been given far too much love this year and that’s continuing this week. They are just +17.0 underdogs at home to LSU. That may seem like a big number but look at what the Tigers did to Florida last week. They flat out destroyed the Gators on both sides of the ball. The Vols have already shown bettors that they can’t do anything against a good defense. Well the Tigers have a better than good defense. This could end up being the worst day of the Dooley era. Take pleasure in it and bet on LSU as -17.0 favorites.
The BYU Cougars let bettors down against San Jose State but this will be their week of redemption. The Cougars head to Corvallis to take on an awful Oregon State team. The Beavers are so bad that losing to them cost Mike Stoops his job at Arizona. Somehow, that was enough for Oregon State to be favored in this game. Are you kidding me? Take this to the house, BYU to win as +1.5 underdogs with Sports Interaction.
We going hunting in the MAC for our next great value pick and this week I like Toledo to bring home the bacon. Last week I told you Western Michigan would covr against Bowling Green and they did with room to spare. This week it’s the Rockets’ turn to take care of a generous spread. Bet on Toledo to win as -7.5 favorites with Sports Interaction.
Finally we shift our attention to Oxford, Mississippi where the Rebels host Alabama in battle of haves and have nots. Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide have a BCS title quality team capable of destroying all before them by mammoth scorelines. Houston Nutt and Ole Miss have not. Take Alabama as -26.5 favorites to win with Sports Interaction.
