California fires Braun after 12 seasons

The University of California has fired Ben Braun who was the men’s basketball coach for the past 12 years.

California finished this season 6-12 in the Pac-10 and 17-16 overall and haven’t made the NCAA March Madness tournament since 2003.

Braun finishes his California career with a 219-154 record. He has a coach of the year on his resume from 1997, five NCAA tournament births and a NIT championship in 1999.
