Two weeks in the books for the Canadian Football League. Some sportsbooks reporting that betting action has been slightly elevated for the CFL this year with the thinking that it's due to the NFL lockout and the extra exposure with games appearing on NFL Network.
Montreal, Winnipeg and Edmonton are off to 2-0 starts with only Montreal only covering the spread in one of those games.
Toronto and Calvary both are 1-1 straight up and against the point-spread and Hamilton, British Columbia and Saskachewan are off to 0-2 starts with only BC covering one of them.
Calgary travels to Winnipeg to start us off this Thursday as a 3 point road favorite with a 52 total. Are the oddsmakers telling us something with the 1-1 team favored on the road over the 2-0 team?
The rest of the CFL action this week include Toronto at Montreal. The Alouettes are a 10.5 point favorite with a 53.5 betting total.
The final two games on Saturday are the Roughriders at Tigercats where something has to give. Both teams 0-2 SU and ATS. Hamilton is a small 2.5 point favorite with 51.5 total. Edmonton hosts BC as a 2.5 point favorite and a total of 54.
