
The Canadian Football League kicks off this week in Montreal when the Allouettes take on the British Columbia Lions in the first of four CFL games this weekend. Bookmakers have installed Montreal as a 6.5 point favorite with a total of 56 for Thursday's opener.
CFL bettors are already discussing week 1 in the CFL forum while handicappers compete in a season long football contest. Can Montreal make it a three-peat? They are favored to win their third straight Grey Cup.
While the NFL appears to be closer to resolving the lockout, the CFL will receive additional exposure this year as two games per week will appear on the NFL Network
The folks at Bodog.eu have posted odds on the regular season win totals. Calgary and Montreal are both expected to have the biggest seasons with odds currently over 11.5 -140. The lowest predicted win total belongs to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers at over 5.5 -120.
