You came up with the Jets blow because of one game? They are a top team in the league, they have talent on both sides of the ball and on special teams. One bad game doesn't make a team bad, they will be 10-6 or 11-5, make the playoffs, how far they go will depend on the Colts and NE.

Outside of the Pats and Colts give me a team in the AFC better than the Jets? The only team I could see an argument for is possibly SD, but I'm not sold that they are a top team yet. The running game is old? Yeah, its so old that it led the league in rushing last year. Coles is a very good receiver and Pennington loves throwing the ball to him, McCarens and Chrebet are decent. They got rid of Jordan and brought in a great backup, so that isn't an issue. They have a very good defense with Vilma, Abraham and Law.
I'm not a Jets fan by any means, but I know a good team when I see it. Seems like you just hate the Jets and are being completely biased.
And, you cannot take one bad game in KC (the worst place for a visitor to play) and determine a whole season on it.

wow, I'm not even going to argue because you clearly know nothing about the jets. the fact that you put the dolphins ahead of them in and of itself tells me that.

First of all you definitely don't win.
Secondly, I look at what they did last year, I look at the additions that they made this year and watching them play gives me confidence that they will be good once again. They are a proven playoff team, and will get there again this year. I see no signs of Curtis getting old, he had a sick year last year and will do so again this year.
Besides that, the only team in that division that may be better are the Pats, but I am not sold on them yet because I want to see them play a few good teams before I will be sure that the losses that they took will not hurt them.
The Bills aren't at their level yet, they have a sick D but I JP is a rookie and is not proven.

No way the Dolphins are better than the Jets, the Jets will win this Sunday, I don't know about the cover.
The Jets are just as good of a team as they were last year if not better, they will finish with at least 9 wins, no doubt.

If both teams play like they did in Week 1, absolutely.
Besides, a line at NYJ-5.5 shows indecision and possible upset in the making.
Another matchup with 2 stingy "D"s.
If last year is any indication, MIA won 3 of their last 4 ATS against DEN, NE, and BAL, and also won SU during this time frame against NE and CLE (but at home).
Also, 3 of MIA's last four games ended in a 3-point differential.
MIA lost 2 matchups against NYJ last year SU/ATS.

The Jets have no offense. Pennington simply is not the Pennington of old. He looked terrible out there. It's run or be done for this team offensively.
Defensively, they are one of the best in the NFL. They gave up 27 to Kansas City last week, but with the amount of fumbling and bumbling that they did, it should have been closer to 37.
The one factor that keeps the Jets far below New England, Indy, and Pitt is their coach. Edwards should be preaching on Sundays in a nice little church, not in a NFL locker room. His act is getting old, and never worked to begin with. This team has borderline talent to play in a Superbowl, but Edwards is just too big a negative for this team to overcome.

It was 1 game! So by the one game theory, McNabb and Culpepper are washed up as well I guess. Can teams play more than one game before people start writing obit's. on them?

Pitt should have lost to the Jets last year but the Jets ass kicker blew the game. Pitt has lost a big weapon on offense and I don't think their D will be as dominate, so yes I think the Jets are better.

Pennington = MOST OVERATED QB!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hear year in and year out about Pennington this and that and bottom line, I THINK HE STINKS!!!!!!!!
I also seen someone say Curtis Martin Will GO OFF?????? Ask Mike Anderson about going off or Tatum Bell with his 4 goal line chances...... Dolphins playing HARDEST FOOTBALL I've seen out of them in years and it has to come with Saban b/c as we all know, Dave Wanny was too much of a "Nice guy", but I think Saban got these men READY!!!!
Martin has 82 yards.......
Do I think the Jets will win this week???? Probably, but I think ALL OF THAT has to do with home field.... Come the game in Miami, it could be a different story!!!!!

Your comparing Bell and Anderson to Curtis, they couldn't hold his jock strap. You are overrating the Dolphins here. Yes they have a very strong d, but the O is ass...

The jets will be back don't get ahead of yourself, they are still a good football team! The Chiefs are really just that improved! I went large on the Chiefs last week as it was my 7 star special and I will go large on them again this week now that I know P. Surtain is playing. I have the Jets playing Miami close and even having the possible cover and winning me some money. ONLY TIME WILL TELL. Good luck with what ever you choose to do but do it knowing the Jets are not done yet!

Is it me or did Chad Pennington's arm just not look right? If he is still injured or not fully rehabbed yet, it could be a long year.
I think the Jets should revamp their game plan this year. Hand off to C-Mart 25-28 times a game, use the TE more, and let the defense force timely turnovers.
One game does not make a season, I totally agree with you.

Hard to condemn the Jets to oblivion just yet. This team was too solid on both sides of the ball last year. They did, however, look worse than terrible last week. I realize arrowhead is a tough place to play, but do you really believe that the Chiefs defense has improved that much? Things just looked very out of sink for the Jets. New system, maybe a rusty(or injured) QB, some positional losses. I'm not saying that the season is over for them, but I do need to see a vast improvement before I take them in any game. Miami's D still looks very very solid. Makes me think the U 37 looks nice this Sunday.

Big weapon?? Are you referring to Plastico Burress. Did you see the game Sunday? Randle El has already made this team forget all about the plastic man. The Jets got damn near shut out by the Chiefs!!!!!!!!!! How are they a better team than last years Jets, let alone Pittsburgh?

You don't have to be high but its a nice feeling. Your threads have more holes then swiss cheese. Its nice to give out info but dot your I's and cross your T's bfore you write stuff down. I have followed you from thread to thread and you appear to be attacking people. The jets turning the ball over is part of the game. The Jets lost to the Steelers last year because they didn't take care of the ball. All of the stuff I am hearing is nothing more then an excuse. Every team finishes where they do and NO ONE knows where anyone will finish after week 1 nor will they know after week 2. A lot of the teams that are up now may be down and the ones that are down now may be up. This isn't rocket science and I defy anyone to make heads or tails out of week one. Week one was just that, " WEEK ONE" !!! Everyone knows everything after week 1 so don't bother posting anything for the rest of the season. This thread was beyond funny by the way. Settle down already...
