Exclamation Avoid Bookmaker

These ****ers take my credit card deposit, immediately close my Bookmaker.com/?cmpid=4437" target="_blank">Bookmaker account and then tell me I'm a fraud and it's going to take them up to 5 weeks for them to refund my money. Bullshit! Here's my chat with a customer service agent. I'll be sticking with 5dimes.com/tracking/Affiliate.asp?AffID=AF000189&mediaTypeID=220&AffUrlID=229" target="_blank">5dimes and BetJamaica from here on out.

Please wait for a site operator to respond.
You are now chatting with 'CS - Vicky'
BKR95198: I can't login to my account, it says contact customer service
CS - Vicky: Welcome to the Live Chat Support. How may I help you today?
CS - Vicky: Can you please confirm your password?
BKR95198: XXXXXXXXXXX
CS - Vicky: Please hold on a moment while I check on that for you. I will get back to you in just a moment.
CS - Vicky: the account has been close
BKR95198: can you credit back my credit card
CS - Vicky: you need to send the following documents before the account reactivation
CS - Vicky: The following documentation is needed in order for us to continue with your request: a copy of the front and back of the credit/ debit card (s) used, a picture ID and a copy of a filled authorization statement that can be found on our website or I can send to you via email or fax.
BKR95198: i sent that this afternoon, can you confirm receipt
CS - Vicky: how did you send it
BKR95198: i replied to the email that was sent to me
CS - Vicky: Please hold on a moment while I check on that for you. I will get back to you in just a moment.
CS - Vicky: the documents will not be valid
CS - Vicky: the transaction will be refunded
BKR95198: how long for the refund?
CS - Vicky: it could up to 5 weeks
BKR95198: why so long?
CS - Vicky: that will depend on your banks procedure
BKR95198: what didn't i include in the documentation?
CS - Vicky: Sir they said that the information is not valid
BKR95198: what isn't valid about the information and why can't i have my money back in a timely fashion?
CS - Vicky: They said that the documents look fake
CS - Vicky: that is why they are not valid
CS - Vicky: and the refund would last that long is not on us it will be on your bank or credit card company
BKR95198: I'll be sure to describe my awful experience with Bookmaker on sites such as Capper's Mall and Sports Book Review
CS - Vicky: Sir we are entitle to denied customer if we believe they are involve in fraudulent actions
CS - Vicky: Is there anything else I can help you with?
CS - Vicky: Let me remind you that due to the extremely high amount of traffic to our main website during football season, at times you may have difficulty accessing your account. If so, keep in mind you can always also access our website on this alternative website: www.sport-bet.net
BKR95198: Today is Thursday November 20, 2008. I will see how long it is going to take for you guys to refund my money. If it takes 5 weeks that is completely unacceptable. I will be saving this chat for submission to Sports Book Review if my money is not refunded in a timely fashion.
CS - Vicky: Sir I am telling the information I got form the Credit card department
CS - Vicky: if you like you can talk to then
CS - Vicky: The Credit Cards Department toll free number is 1-877-512-1384.
BKR95198: If you don't want my action, that is fine. But please return my money to my credit card in a timely fashion. That's all I ask, I don't think it's too much.
CS - Vicky: Sir as i told you this is also from the processor the time frame was not set up by us it is them
CS - Vicky: But again you are more than welcome to talk to the credit card department
BKR95198: when will you be processing the refund on your side?
CS - Vicky: it is done in the same day is possible
CS - Vicky: Is there anything else I can help you with?
BKR95198: Can I get a confirmation email when the refund is processed on your side?
CS - Vicky: it will be done today
BKR95198: Thank you
CS - Vicky: your bank will send you an email of when they process the refund
BKR95198: no they won't
CS - Vicky: Sir again I am telling you what the credit card department is telling me
BKR95198: So you can't send me a confirmation email when the refund is processed, am I correct?
CS - Vicky: That is not a service we have
CS - Vicky: Is there anything else I can help you with?
BKR95198: Wish I could say thank you for all your help. I'll be posting this chat on wagering forums in an attempt to prevent others from going thru this headache.
BKR95198: Bye
CS - Vicky: Thank you for contacting Customer Service Live Chat. Have a nice day.

Very typical, and very unfortunate. Books are going thru problems just like everyone else. The thing that scares me the most, and should scare anyone that uses Bookmaker.com/?cmpid=4437" target="_blank">Bookmaker is their alleged "alternate web site". I have seen that site being pushed by more than one book, wich leads me to believe tha these books are tying in with each other. If Bookmaker.com/?cmpid=4437" target="_blank">Bookmaker is tied in with Sport-Bet, you do not want to be a part of that. You did the mall a service by posting this.

This is a bunch of shit. Seems like they could do that to anybody.
So, really, you can't deposit until they accept your docs? And then, after they accepted your doc, they took the deposit, then said the docs looked fake? (event though they already took the deposit???)

Yeah, something's shady going on here.

I thought you only had to submit the documents when you withdraw...

Don’t understand this rant. You don’t want books accepting cc deposit if they think it’s fradulant do you? The book said the refund will be processed on their end today and it’s your bank that could take up to 5 weeks. QH – What other book outside the Bookmaker.com/?cmpid=4437" target="_blank">Bookmaker/cris books use sport-bet ?

Just trying to save someone else the trouble that I went thru. I thought they were a reputable book.

That is VERY shady. Seriously, they accept your ID's and all in order for you to give them your money, THEN after you have, said they were fake so now you have to go through all this BS to get your money back? Odd

They allowed me to deposit, then they required the docs after I deposited and before I could place a wager. Sent in requested docs and that's when they said they were fake.

If you're currently a Bookmaker customer and having no problems then very well. However, this is the first time that I tried Bookmaker and this was my experience. My advice is, if you're already a Bookmaker customer and are having no problems, proceed. However, if you are not already a Bookmaker customer and thinking about using them keep this in mind.

If you don't understand my "rant", I can't help you out there, just sharing my experience with others. Didn't mean to offend you and your precious book. I'm very sorry. But if they are trying to prevent fraud why take up to 5 weeks to refund the "fraudulent" transaction? I don't believe that my bank is the one that is going to take five weeks, that's my point. A very good point if you just think about it for a second.

I won’t change ur mind, sorry if my post came off wrong
When u deposit online with a credit card it goes through a security process
If they were a scam book they would have let u make a wager, win and then said this to u when u tried to withdraw

Right, I agree with you. I'm not saying that they are a scam book, in fact, from what I've heard they are a reputable book. My post is to alert others not to deposit via credit card using Bookmaker for the very first time, unless they're ready for a potential headache. Maybe Bookmaker should think about doing away with their credit card deposit option if paranoia is going to rule the day. I'm not trying to scam or defraud anyone, I simply want my money back in a timely manner, not five weeks later.

When I get my money back I'll update and we'll see how long it takes, I'm just simply not buying into the "it may take 5 weeks because of your bank" defense that they use. And a confirmation email would have been nice to have, but they refused on that front also. IMHO the least they could do is send an email explaining the situation and informing me that they have indeed processed the refund back to my card.
