Contest Question For Jack

This should probably get moved but I wasn't exactly sure where to put it. I wanted to ask about doing a contest. It would be a pay to play type comtest but I don't know how that part works. Want to make it affordable for everyone so as a group we could put it to a vote as to the amount.$25 $50? $100? I don't know mallers budgets so whatever the group decides is what we would set it at.

The basics of the contest are as follows.

On Wed. we post the lines that will be used for that weeks games. This will allow for some adjustments to take place but still allow us time to organise.

We would use wagerline lines or if you prefer a certain sportbook that's fine too. The main thing is that there is one line for everyone. If the lines change durring the week it doesn't matter because all results will be based on the line we post Wed.

Due to time constraints any Thur. night games will be excluded.

All ALL I repeat all selections would be due Friday 11:59 PM eastern standard time. This will allow all day Saturday to organise the selections and get them posted early Sunday morning.

The contest would be from week 7 through the end of the regular season. No playoff games.

We will pick the full slate of games for the week excluding any Thur. games as stated.

We will select ATS sides AND totals.

There would be 5 winners.

1st place sides winner.

1st place totals winer.

1st, 2nd ans 3rd place winners of both sides and totals.

If this is not possible or too much work no problem I was just trying something new and different.

If it is possible I would be willing to help in any way other than being responsible money ( I have a gambling problem ) that I could.

I wouldn't play in something where your were forced to pick every game on the board thats for sure. otherwise not a horrible basis for a contest

Agree, one of the advantages of being a sports gambler as opposed to a Bookmaker.com/?cmpid=4437" target="_blank">Bookmaker is selectivity. Personally for me it is huge. Any contest that requires you to take more selections than my methods spit out I won't enter.

Hi Wal, Thanks for the suggestion but as of now we have plenty of ongoing football contests and a possible additional one to be added soon (brackets). I can't commit for prizes or scoring this one. Sorry

no prob jack i appreciate the consideration.

and as far as picking the entire board it was just to really put the cappers to the ultimate test, but had we gone with it we would have adjusted the rules to satisfy the majority.
