If The Roulette Ball Lands On Red ...

5 times in a row ...

Is there a higher chance the next roll will be black ,
or is the next roll the same percentage ?
50/50

Explain with reasoning ...
or mathematics ...

Thoughts...?

If the next roll were 50/50 roulette might actually be a fair game...

No. Also Red & Black is not 50/50 because there are a 0 & 00. So 2 greens that it can hit while Red & Black both use. You can find the full math behind this online.

ok i realize the odds aren't 50/50 ...

but lets say you flip a coin 5 times in a row heads

does it increase the odds the next flip might be tails ?

no, independent trials. Neither the coin or the roulette ball has a memory. With the one exception being when I bet that they wont.

we had that topic oh so often

the topic with the system, chasing the red and doubling up everytime... or waiting for red/black come 3 times in a row and then chasing the opposite... but well, chasing is the 'serious' gambler's death...

and anyone playing 'american' roulette is an idiot anyways... plaiyng with the 0 & the 00

No, but when I play roulette if I see a trend or pattern I wil try and follow it. It's more of a speculation game where the house does have an edge and always will. There is no way to beat the game in the long run, not even with math.

american = 0 & 00 (36 win fields, 2 for the house)
european = 0 (36 win fields, 1 for the house)
