Question New POD Contest Rules...?

Now that horses are allowed...I have some quick Qs plz...

1. -- if odds are say 12-1 and hits its +1200...how would the odds be for say 1/5?

2. -- if odds are 12-1 and horses loses...will it play as -1200 pts?

3. -- if win or loss...are we going by the money line or the line at start of race?

Thnx..I appreciate u guys in keeping the POD fresh and new!

I'll give you some examples Jim

If it is 12-1 and you win...it is +1200

If it is 12-1 and you lose...it is -100

If it is 1-5 and you win .... it is +100

If it is 1-5 and you lose....it is -500

what about place and show bets? Are they allowed and if so how are they graded?

for example: 1 unit on #6 to place (we don't really know the odds) but if it pays for instance 3.40 it would be +0.85 units (1.70/2) and - 1 unit if it loses.

lol or are we just not allowing that at all?

IMO if you place or show it kinda gives the horse betting an advantage over other sports like MLB/NHL/ etc... where they only have one chance to win. a place and show kinda gives a player 3 chances for just a win instead of one making it lop-sided? no? (not talking about props..just a win compared to a loss.)

And as devils advocate...there are more horses involved...than just 1 vs 1.

I still like just Win bets...and it would make it easier on Snowman.

anything goes smitch.... if you had it at paying 3.40 for a place you would win 85 bucks on a $100 wager.

Well of course its up to him...but its actually easier to grade a place or show bet because you don't have to know the odds at post time.

If the win bet loses you have to know the post time odds because if the odds are less than even money you are charging extra units.
