NZTAB is a government run sports and racing Bookmaker.com/?cmpid=4437" target="_blank">Bookmaker here in NZ. They have a monopoly on the market, which is unlike Australia where it is legal to set up shop.

I know we don't have many NZ/Aussie members here, but as long as one person finds it interesting will post it each week

Each week they give a review of where some of the bigger money went, this week :


Baseball was the sport that the bigger punters really embraced last week.

Those big wagers were all successful : $65,334 at $1.62 on Philadelphia to beat Arizona, $61,600 at $1.52 on Boston to beat Minnesota, $50,000 at $1.50 on Boston to beat Baltimore, $43,632 at $1.87 on the NY Yankees to beat Tampa Bay, $38,968 at $1.42 on NY Mets to beat San Francisco, and $31,592 at $1.55 on Philadelphia to down St Louis. Our baseball bookie says " thank heavens for the all-star break ".

Staying with success and a couple to report in the world of rugby league: $25,000 at $1.37 on the Canberra Raiders to beat the St George Dragons and $9,700 at $1.28 on the Warriors to account for the North Queensland Cowboys.

The Springboks victory over the All Blacks was a great result for us, not only in singles betting but also in multis. Almost every result in this game went our way, first try scoer, margins, points starts, you name it. The biggest losing singles bet was $28,000 at $1.25. One for the future : $20,000 at $5.25 on Australia to win the Tri Nations.

A couple of random losing bets to report : $10,000 at $1.70 on the Waikato/Bay of Plenty Magic to beat the Sydney Swifts in the ANZ Netball Major Semi and $8,400 at $1.45 on the Penrith Panthers to beat the Newcastle Knights in the NRL.

Yep alot of mug punters bet with the NZTAB, clients from all around the world as they generally don't limit bet sizes.

wasn't meant to be insulting, just the point that i suppose that you are one of the few around here who could be betting 10 grand per play some day

Ok man sorry I took it the wrong way.
I thought u were taking a shot at me.
1) I don't usually take that much juice on bets
2) I hardly ever bet with the NZTAB as 99% of the time can get better lines elsewhere
3) I don't bet 10K-20K a bet, but wish I could afford to.
