question

I know the offshore books have their house rules and probably have the right to do it, but my question is if they can cancel or refuse to honor a bet if youre trying to middle a game and do they even look for things like that, thanks

Most books will honour your bets to middle, If they are under legit reasons.
For example (made up eg) The Pats are playing the Jets this weekend and the line is Jets +8.5. You take the Jets +8.5, later in the week Brady gets ruled out, line moves down to +3.5, so you then take -3.5 and look for a middle. Under those circumstances most books will honour both bets.

Now here is another, where most books won't honour your bets :
Cairns are playing Perth. Total is set at 168.5 with your book. Everywhere else the total is 158.5. You bet this total, clearly a line error, whoever put the line up for your book made a typo. But you bet the total of 168.5. They then later realise and put the correct toal of 158.5. Usually an email will be sent to you and the bet of 168.5 refunded, your bet on the correct total of 158.5 will stand and your chance of a middle is gone.

Basically alot of the time it comes down how legit the situation is. But every book has its rules and it pays to read them on a case by case basis.

well, these 2 exemples are not what i really meant, lets use the jets/pats exemple. Jets +8.5 and +300 on moneyline, i take +300 before the game, now at halftime jets are up 14, book is giving me a second half line of pats -14 +300, i take that for guaranteed profit regardless who wins the game. Do they have the right not to accept my second bet?? thanks

None of the books I bet with have it in their rules to not accept a bet under those circumstances and I highly doubt there would be many that would not accept those bets, certainly any reputable book anyway.

note If you try to exceed the max bet (or your max bet, If your account is marked) they will limit you. So still accept your action just not give you the amount you want, this only applies if you are either a winning client and/or a person who bets large stakes.
