Sit N Go Question

just recently discovered sit-n-gos where the top 5 players win double the buy in, out of 10 people(5th place pays the same as 1st, game ends when 6th place is knocked out). Seems like easy money, should I alter from my top 3 strategy, or just play normal?

Seems like if you're able to double up early on somehow, there's no reason to keep playing because 1st is the same as 5th.

just tried one and cashed, barely finished 5th. The Big Stack was a retard and kept letting the other small stacks back in it by having the worst hand. He was playing like 1st meant more than 5th.

the best is when you got 2 or 3 people that like to raise on your table,
then you can get in the top 5 with winning only a few small pots

getting an early double up is nice, but if the remaining players are tight and you lose your blinds you will end up going down to #4 or #5 or #6 Then when the blinds get up high you will end up having to go all in. Seems like you still have to steal some blinds or stop them from stealing yours

only had to go all-in twice, never got called. Would have been zero if not for the big stack playing stupid

I thought they only collected money at that book. Not sure if they ever pay anyone. But have fun anyway.

yes these have been easy money for me so far.

and I do alter strategy where as like you said other players sometimes play it like 1st place means something and put their chips at risk when they should be folding to the money.

let them fight it out at the end if you don't need to get involved.
i contemplated folding pocket Kings actually (something I would never do under normal circumstances). the situation almost called for folding with 6 people left but the blinds were just big enough where I did have to call with the Kings or I would of been shortest stack next hand.

still need to play overall good poker, if you are successful in normal sit n gos you can profit in these, there are still bad poker players playing in them.

ive basically won the ones I should of won with the cards and not too bad of suckouts. ive actually made more money than I should be up because I have cashed in a few where I had no business making the money but people played so poorly to keep me in it.
