The four biggest punts on sport during the last week all went our way as the sports betting year comes to an end.

$50,000 at $1.85 on Houston and Chicago to produce less than 46 points in their NFL match went astray with a touchdown about 5 minutes from time. Another investor wanted $50,000 at $1.72 on Houston and Utah in the NBA producing 192 points or less. We took $20,000 at $1.72 and the remainder ($30,000) at $1.67 and the match went "overs ".

The other large wager to miss out was $13,000 at $1.40 on the pacer Dudinks'a Christian to win the Hokonui Gold Radio Mobile at Gore. The horse ran second after leading into the straight.

Back to American sport and other bets to miss out included : $12,000 at $1.52 on Detroit to beat Nashville in the NHL, $11,000 at $1.70 on Chicago and Green Bay to score 40 points or less in the NFL, $10,000 at $1.87 on the Motor City Bowl to be 70 points or less and $10,000 at $1.87 on Golden State and Boston to score 211 points or more in the NBA.

To the winners : $12,579 at $1.05 on the Celtics to beat Philadelphia in the NBA, $11,468 at $1.08 on Orlando to beat Golden State, $11,200 at $1.04 on the Boston Celtics to down the New York Knicks, , another bet on the Celtics of $10,000 at $1.05 to beat Philadelphia, $10,000 at $1.70 on Miami and Chicago game score to be 198 points or less, and a couple of $10,000 wagers, one at $1.67, the other at $1.22, in live betting, on New Zealand to beat West Indies in the second 20/20 match.
