Arrow What Level Can You Get to?? (Fun Challenge)

So I was cleaning out some old computer files when I came across this fun challenge I saved to my computer from maybe 2 years back.

The Goal: Is to go from playing the lowest levels to playing at the highest levels on the net with little risk to your BankRoll. You will achieve your goal by using a Technique called Limit Jumping

Starting Roll: $25
Ending Roll: $10k+ <--Less Or More, it depends how far you want to take it.

LEVEL 1: $0.10/$0.25
Start: $25
End: $50

Level 2: $0.25/$0.50
Start: $50
End: $100

Level 3: $0.50/$1.00
Start: $100
End: $200

Level 4: $1/$2
Start: $200
End: $400

Level 5: $2/$4
Start: $400
End: $600

Level 6: $3/$6
Start: $600
End: $1000

Level 7: $5/$10
Start: $1000
End: $2000

Level 8: $10/$20
Start: $2000
End: $5000

Level 9: $25/$50
Start: $5000
End: 10K

Now I did not save the orignial article I had to go with the challenge, I thought I did have it some place, I will take a look. The orginal Challenge went 10 levels Starting at 0.05/0.10 with $10 going all the way to the $25/$50 NLHE. The Poker Pro that did this completed the challenge in one day for a total of about 36k if I remember correctly. A no named online player at the time did it in 10 days. I also did hear but I never confirmed it, this challenge was also completed by another online player in 30 days.

Rules that I recall:
1. No Multi-tabling allowed
2. You cant leave any level until you complete the one your on in full.
3. No Heads up, Sngs, or MTT's allowed.
4. You can drop down levels as many times as you want or need to in the challenge. (So if you are playing 0.25/0.50 and you started with $50, if you drop down to $20 or $25 you may drop down to the 0.10/0.25 level 1 to try and re build your roll back up to $50 for level 2.)
5. You can also stay in levels longer if you are runnig good. (But if you win $200 playing 0.10/0.25 You cant just jump to level 4. You must complete level 2 & 3 first.)
6. No skipping levels no matter what. (The left over Cash is just profit from the challenge.)
7. No assitance from anyone or anything. You may recieve advice but it always must be you playing. No computer asst. programs allowed. A PT Hud is allowed but no programs that can make choices for you.

This seems like it will be a fun challenge to see who here in the mall can get to the highest level & in how much time. I am going to be doing this as I am taking a little break from sng's. So if anyone wants to join in feel free. I will be doing this on Stars, if you are doing it on a diffrent site or changing up the levels or adding more levels just post it here what you are doing as well as your progress after every session. GL guys.

Challenge Day 1

Level 1

I am starting the challenge right now on Stars, I am going to start with Full Ring but may decide to change to 6 max if the action is no good. My attack plan for the first level is to just play most of my hands in good position. I will be playing ABC Poker. Jacks or better AK KQ Suited, maybe some A-X suited only in LP for a limp. Hands like 77 AJ off will just be easy folds in early position. I will open my game up a little more as my stack grows. I also will update my Day 1 progress as the session goes on.

Current Challenge Roll At: $25

Day 1/ Level 1

I just sat at the table and noticed some wild gut to the right of me, a few of the hands I seen him in was wild betting down to the river with a fold on a re-pop. The flop was for sure Scary with the possible str8 he could of had, or the flush draw that he may have been going for. I took the chance of going head to head with him just for the fact that I would not be out of the game. It payed off. HH Below:

Day 1 / Level 1 **UPDATE** 2 Hands

In this Hand I was really mad at my self the way I played it, this should of been an easy lay down for me. The only reason why I called his little $5.90 all in was one because he was short stacked & 2 I thought I did have the best hand. With his low stack I had him over betting something like an A 4, was I ever wrong.

DAY 1 / Level 1 **Summary**

Ending Challenge Roll: $52.80

Level 1: Complete

Total Hands: 55

I seen The flop in this session 14 out of 55 hands (25%) <--Its kinda of high for how many hands delt but If I Played any more tight at that table I would of blinded out. I still kept a TAG style going for the most part.

Well I completed Level 1. This table was crazy from the word jump. I really thought about changing tables but after that first crazy hand I posted in this thread giving me fire power I decided to stay for a while longer. A couple hands I played bad, I posted 1 of them above. There was no real grinding here. However I did have a few great position plays that were nice. I cant wait to start Level 2 tomarrow. Even though this was not much of a session, I am glad for the early break. I hope some mall members join in this, it is real fun when you have other players talking about hands and levels.

My Advice for Level 1 would be is take your time when you select a table, also if you dont like your table change it. You can try and grind on this level but keep it tight. Once you plus up $5-$10 you have a great chance of taking this level down.

Challenge Day: 2

Level 2

Current Challenge Roll: $52.80

Ok after finishing Level 1 the other day I am pumped to get Level 2 going right now, I am going to start with table selection, I also am going to debate between Full or 6 Max. For level 1 I used full ring which I think I will stick with today. I will buy in for the full $50 to start level 2.

My attack plan will be the same as in level 1. I feel on Level 2 I will be putting in more of a session, insted of the 55 hands played to complete level 1. I will post updates during the session & some hands like I did the other night. If any mall members want to rail feel free. He we go.

tough hand to lay down at any point, especially in a low level game that a guy with queens or jacks or 8's even would play prolly to that same pattern...

I agree, I have noticed I am putting them on two strong of hands with there pre flop raises, not much has changed roll wise, but I still feel fine at this table. I will start 2 pick them apart soon enough so I am going to stick with it short stacked. at about $27 out of the $50 I bought in with, the goal is $100 so I will stick it out here.
