Whats the malls thoughts on lay big wood?

Is it ok to lay big wood(250-500) on favs? Im new to betting and i would just like the malls thoughts. Like lets say for instance NFL, you see a line that reads dolphins -8 or -270 if you feel the seahawks wont lose buy 8. But you think for sure the dolphins win out right what do u do. Help me on this one.

i have no problem betting big moneyline favourites...but i believe the best way in doing this is parlaying them...lets say a 9 teamer for +150 is not that bad...especially when lets say you bet 2 or 3 of those and maybe you do lose one of them....you end up losing a big amt and with parlay you lay just the amt you would on a dog

I have never done nor will I ever. Some people are different though, I am a little more conservative then most though. If you feel you have an edge then go with it. But if you don't feel the team isn't going to cover the 8, then why not just take the points instead of a fumble or turn over and you lose 500 just to win 100. That is just my 2 cents
