Elvis Andrus
I have this guy in my league who really wants Elvis, and im willing to stick it out with Ramirez. So should I trade? whats fair?
His last offer was chipper and hafner. He has a couple of blue chips he wont trade. Gordon is out and his pitching staff is out. I dont need pitching really He has: C: Posey, Posada, Hundley I have Victor Martinez and C. Avila (DET). 1B: Posey, Konerko I have Morneau, Berkman, Martinez, Lind 2B: Cano, Neil Walker I got Rickie Weeks, Polanco SS: Jeter I have Ramirez, Elvis Andrus 3B: Gordon, Chipper Jones I have Polanco OF: Gordon, Wells, Ibanez, Pence I have Berkman, Damon, Murphy, Sizemore, Francoeur, BJ Upton, Crawford, Lind Util: Hafner |

that was my thinking.
Is Chipper worth anything? He could be a serviceable 3B if polanco hits the skids I think I can get 2 for 1. Posada and Chipper for Andrus |

I'd say go for Neil Walker and Posada if he'll go for it. Neil should have 2B/3B eligibility

I really like walker. Dont know if he will keep up the pace. playing for a shitty team doesnt help.

Pittsburgh will be a lot better this year...could be close to around .500 And with Tabata and McCutchen setting the table (if he continues to bat cleanup), Overbay mixed in for protection, I think he could have a breakout year. Just my opinion.

I agree with you. We'll see if he bites. It could be an upgrade to depth at catcher and 2B/3B

Dude you should have taken Chipper and Hafner
Chipper is back batting well over .300, he looks like the 2008 Chipper who won the batting title Hafner is still a ? but DHing only will help him stay healthy. Elvis Andrus is good for what... SBs? Does defense count in this league? If not then I don't know why you wouldn't take (almost) any two players for a guy who is valuable in 1 category. (and especially when you have lots of SB players in your OF) |

thats why i want to unload Andrus while there is still interest. Otherwise i'll just end up dropping him for some weak FA.

IMO his value will probably only increase as the season goes on, it's probably at its lowest point right now (he's been in a hell of a slump)
either way though i think the jones and hafner for elvis trade works in your favor. if he's balls to the wall about the andrus, see if you can hold him off for a week or so and let andrus start hitting again

Bottom line...if this guy wants him bad let him have him and get something that is completely in your favor. |

ended up with Chipper and Posada.
I think I can flip Posada to one of the yankee homers in the league. |

this as timely now that victor martinez is hurt. I do like his backup Avila, but i think it is a wash with Posada.
