Question The first "who would you start" thread

Wanted to be the first one Even though I'm pretty sure which I'm gonna start:

Pick 2 of the 3

AJ Burnett @ Boston (Lester)
Tim Hudson @ SF (Sanchez)
Kevin Millwood @ TB (Shields) & vs Toronto (Marcum)

no im serious, not sure if i would trust burnett against this sox lineup and not sure what hudson would do. millwood is really iffy as well.

what is on the waiver wire?

gun to my head, it would be hudson, just because of the giants lineup.

I'm not looking for a world beater here, just the best 2 of 3 out of those options. I also have John Maine, and if I find out he's the #4 starter, he'll get Washington this week, and may be worth a start. I know Millwood is iffy, but he gets 2 starts this week, one of them being at home against Toronto, who I think is the worst team in the AL

So I'm aware these guys arent #1 rotation guys - but after a 12 team, 23 round draft, there's not gonna be much on the waiver wire either.

Millwood two starts are tough ones even if one against Toronto

I would definitely place AJ in there, even though they going against Lester & Sox - maybe a 3-2 type of game

I think I would end up going AJ & Hudson if forced to use two of those 3 (not a big Millwood) fan. A crappy pitcher on a two start week could kill a team

aren't all 3 2 start pitchers?

hudson
4/5 - cubs
4/11 - sf

aj
4/6 - bos
4/11 - tb

millwood
4/6 - tb
4/11 - tor

i'd definitely go with hudson. i guess my 2nd choice would be aj.

CBS shows Hudson as #4 in rotation, mlb.com shows him 3rd. I went with 4th, but either way I dont think he's pitching opening day. From Braves fan forum:
http://www.forums.mlb.com/n/pfx/foru...ves&tid=134417

AJ could be a 2 start pitcher if they go 4 man rotation the first week, but I would think he wouldnt make his next start until 4/12

Do you show something different for either of them?
