i think both - he's the real deal but I'd try to trade him high if I can. Indians won't keep up this pace, and he'll probably get shut down towards the end of the year when Cleveland is out of it and you're in fantasy playoffs.

This one is kinda tricky. His KO rate is down slightly but his walk rate is way down. His 7 starts thought havent been an against anyone who would probably rate as a top offense either.

If I had him I would probably hold onto him just because I don't think his name will draw enough interest or value back in a trade....if you can trade him though for a struggling star like a Ubaldo or Gallardo or even Volquez I might take a stab.

PEACE

I working on trying to get Ubaldo. This guy is very down on him, which I am not. I dont think he wants Masterson though....

Trying to do a YOukillis, Rasmus, Ubaldo for Greinke, Ryan Roberts, and maybe an ANibal Sanchez type of guy......

What do you think?

I've always liked Masterson since his days with the Red Sox and always thought he'd be above average. Having said, I don't think he'll ever be a Cy Young type guy or anything. Don't have him in any of my leagues but if I did I'd try to sell high.

Yah Ubaldos control is starting to get me worried also. If he can get that back in check he will be fine though. I would try and buy low on Jiminez.

I have Ubaldo in one of my keeper leagues (I took over for another manager) and so far he's done nothing. Starting to wonder if it was just a one year wonder last year.

He started to tail last year after that crazy start but he still wasn't this bad with the walks. His ball is still mostly unhittable....any problems he runs into is because he is putting the guys on base. Hes always walked his fair share but what he is doing now is unacceptable. But if he gets his control straightened out the results will come quickly. I would be patient if I owned him and if someone is fed up with him prolly try and get him.

As far as the one year wonder I wouldnt worry about that......he had a sick finish to his 09 season also, the talent is real.

idk, a lot of people thought the same about the padres last year. i know they didn't make the playoffs, but they contended all year.

He's overrated. Theres no way he comes back and keeps a season long strong of good starts. Not on that Indians team which will be out of it in T minus 2 months.
