Marmol for Morneau
Head to head league - 6 points for a save, 10 for a win, everything else pretty much standard.
My weekly lineup is as follows: C Santana 1B Aubrey Huff 2B Neil Walker 3B A-Rod SS Tulowitzki OF Holliday OF Tabata OF Sizemore Util Carlos Lee (Bench: Jorge Posada and Josh Hamilton on DL) SP Ubaldo Jimenez SP Fransisco Liriano SP Gio Gonzalez RP Neftali Feliz RP Joakim Soria P Craig Kimbrel P Carlos Marmol Bench: Joel Hanrahan, Matt Capps, Brett Anderson My question is: Do you guys think I should trade Carlos Marmol for Justin Morneau? |

I'd say you're losing out this one.
Marmol will rack up K's from the RP and saves I hate to say that Morneau may never be the same, he certainly isn't what he used to be as of now. Aubrey Huff will put up respectable #'s at the 1B. If you are going to trade a reliever get a starter back because yours aren't very deep. |

Interesting settings. Personally, I always never draaft saves guys early or rate them very high when evaluating trades. You can always pick up saves guys throughout the year due to injury, ineffectiveness (see Matt Capps), etc.
Having said that, I afree with Hippie in that I don't think Morneau will ever be the same. Add in the new ballpark that looks like its a pitchers park and I don't think Morneau will be putting up the kind of numbers he would have 3 or 4 years ago. Huff is always one of those under theradar guys who get 20-25 HR's per year with 85 RBI and a .280ish average whicg aren't great for 1B but certainly respectable. |
