Used to play APBA a long time ago. I think strato is similar. Not sure how either of their logarithm's stack up against today's computerized models. I've heard Diamond Mind is good??

Been playing for about 10 yrs now and its got to be the greatest game on earth! Its so fascinating! You can create your own team and either play on the computer or head to head which I prefer! You're pretty much the GM of your team and you decide who plays and when, who starts and you need to preserve your bullpen!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT TO ANY BASEBALL JUNKIE LIKE MYSELF!!

played it when i was a little kid with my dad and brother, the board game not the computer game
kevin mitchell and eric davis, whichever year that was... 89 i think

Yeah my brother and i started playing the board game in high school .
I now play version 7 of the computer game with a lot of old seasons but iwont go to the newer versions because the companys custumer service is terrible
