Yahoo fantasy baseball scoring question

Ok.....I had a 48pt lead going into the final night- The second place guy had 4.1 innings left that he could use for his maximum ammount...He played 5 pitchers....He ended up getting two wins and it allowed him to use 18 pitching innings....and he scored prob 35pts from the pitchers-----WTF? If you have 4.1 innings left how can allow you to play that many innings?- I folded like the Sox this last month, and prob deserved to get beat, but I didnt want to lose on a rule that I dont understand.....If that was the case, I would have picked up all fav starters on Monday for Wednedays game----I just kept mmy reg pitchers.....grrrrrr any help?

itr is suppos to cut him off when he reaches 4 & 1/3 .... doesnt matter what combo of pitchers it is, no wins or anything, just the strikeouts and runs etc in those 4 & 1/3's .... was it a pay league? if so, have the commish make the proper ruling.

is he taking the $$ and saying he won? if so, i guess there isnt much you can do but never play in that league again OR any league with him in it. that really sucks, hope the stakes werent too high, becaise you DID win.

one of my leagues on espn clearly states that in the scoring. Here it is
"If a team exceeds the max while games are in progress, that team will continue to accumulate stats until the end of the day."
However, my understanding of the rule was that as soon as he hit the max point he wouldnt be able to start anyone new but continue to accumlate the rest of the current stats.

did he have all of his pitchers start at the same time would be the question. otherwise, the latter stats shouldnt have counted
