1,000 Reward Points up for grabs...

...all you have to do is post your one and only one BEST BET NFL play for Sunday November 27, 2011 with a convincing write up, analysis, handicapping angles, etc. Point spreads, money lines, and over-under, prop bets, etc.

One pick per poster!

I'll take into account quality of write up and the value of the bet (no crazy chalk favourites, please) in choosing. Please do not copy and paste from other handicappers (paid or otherwise)...originality counts too!

If more than one poster is on the same side and I feel that their analysis compliments each other, I'll split the 1,000 between them (max four posters on the same side). Free loading posters who are are on the same side as someone else without adding anything of any value in terms of analysis will be dismissed.

Deadline is 11pm EST tonight...I'll choose who I'm going to tail by posting in this thread.

If I choose your play and it wins tomorrow I'll donate 1,000 reward points to you (and co-winners, if applicable).

Atlanta - 9 over the Vikings

reasons why :

without Petersen and with a rookie Qb , I don't see Minn doing a lot on offense.
Minn has given up 33 or more pts in 3 of last 5, and 21 and 28 in the other two
Atl should have Jones back, so Ryan has Turner, Gonzalez, Jones, etc.. thus I am pretty confident they score 30+

Here is the biggie: Atlanta is playing the last of 3 straight home games, which is not very common. That has always been an automatic play for me for many years.

This one adds up to a 35-13 ish score to me

Texans -6.5 over Jax.
With the Texans having Tate and Foster in the back field and Leinart playing for the injured Schaub, also Andre Johnson being back in this game, I look for a steady supply of hand offs and play action quick passes to Johnson. This will spell trouble for the struggling Jaguars. Del- Rio is more than likely done in Jacksonville and they are a team that has not been playing with a lot of fire. They have a decent D but with Gabbert ad a struggling Jones- Drew I see the texans pulling off the road win and winning by 9-10. I think Houston keeps the game simple and vanilla. I don't see Jax putting up many points against the Houston D.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers +3 (+105) - 5dimes

Tampa Bay have been covering road warriors over the past three seasons. They have only failed to cover the spread in five of their last nineteen road games. Forecast is for windy conditions which will allow for more ground game planning. Blount has been a beast when he gets in space. Tampa has more "big play" ability, with a deeper WR core and a big, bruising RB in Blount. Their O-line is significantly better than Tennessee's so I expect Tampa to control the clock. Regardless of their recent play I think Freeman is better than Hasslebeck or Locker. Tampa Bay is 15th in total offense while Tennessee is 21st. You have to be able to move the markers to sustain drives. Tennessee is 4th in the NFL in total penalties per game. There is a reason CJ has struggled besides the run blocking...I'd say for the value of getting 3 points, Tampa is the play in what should be a close game.

Tampa Bay +3 (+105) 5dimes

This line is a testament to the over reaction and overratedness (not a word? Patent it) the Eagles bring. It is a joke that the eagles have been favored in almost every game this year. 1st time playing giants it dropped to pickem and last week without Vick giants were favored. Otherwise eagles have been favored in every game. That favortism is present here in a line that should be much higher. Nandi was carted off the other day, Vick likely not playing and the Eagles are a sorry 4-6 facing a 7-3 team. 3 wins against divisional opponents and the sorry rams in week 1. I am not a believer here... And a giants fan
