10 Year Old Boy Killed in Soccer Goal Post Accident at High School
Sad news. I have never heard of such a thing before.
A 10-year-old Frederick County, Va., boy was killed Monday when a soccer goal post apparently collapsed on him, an official of the county school system said last night. The boy was playing in a youth league on an athletic field at Millbrook High School outside Winchester when the accident occurred. Al Orndorff, an assistant superintendent for the county schools, said it was speculated that the boy, who was not named, jumped and grabbed the crossbar of the goal posts and was hanging from it. The goal collapsed and "apparently struck" the boy, Orndorff said.

We had the same thing happen in Montreal a few years ago... now they are all anchored so they cannot flip over.
