What a collapse by both Alabama & Boise St. Maybe it is me, but I never saw that coming at all, I figured both teams had it well in hand. It looks like TCU locks up #3 and plays a big ten team in the Rose Bowl? That will be an interesting matchup, & how far does Boise fall?

doesn't matter how far they fall. they will be out of the BCS picture which to them is all that matters. They won't win the WAC so they will probably be home for the bowl in Boise playing the 6th place ACC team.

boise should have rolled. played the worst 3rd quarter I have seen in a long time. Coming out they drop two passes on first drive. Throw in fact refs had about 3 calls in 5 minutes that were horrible. That fair catch interference was a joke. In the end their offense sucked in 2nd half.

what happens with boise st is that they go to the bowl game that is designated for the WAC#2 team since Nevada gets WAC championship. If Boise didnt get a BCS berth, then they are already designated to a certain bowl.

Boise St goes to the Humanitarian Bowl or the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl.

I am guessing they will actually get an at large to another bowl game not affiliated with the WAC to face a better opponent.

i dont think they can. its in the rules that they have to accept their designated bowl unless its BCS.

incorrect. 1st year they played TCU they got out of WAC bowl tie and played in Ft. Worth Bowl. I don't think they can leap frog Nevada and go elsewhere but my understanding is not as many teams qualifying this year as before.

no idea what it is called now. the biggest disapointment with the loss for me is they lose the opportunity to play a legitimate BCS team.

they screwed themselves up. they had the game and just needed to step on the gas and let it get away.

i had them with the future and would argue for them all day if they were undefeated because i thought vtech, oregon state and nevada were a good enough schedule to play for the title undefeated. but a loss you cant do anything about. but i dont think they shoud fall lower than 15th. they lost to a top 15 school

agree nothing you can do when you don't win your non bcs conference. that being said they will be co-champions with nevada and hawaii so might still have some flexibility outside of bcs bowls.

really had nothing to do with not stepping on the gas. offensively they needed to put together drives and keep D off the field. in 2nd half offense was on field for 8 minutes.
