cman, you are correct. According to the story they say that the mountain is still alive and shifting after the original cave in.

According to what I have read, this last cave in was the 4th one in about a week. Supposedly caused by "bumps," the mountain still moving. They had to stop rescue effort each of the last 3 days because of other minor cave ins. Really surprised they kept working as unstable as it is there.

Like firemen, policemen, and soldiers, the bonds that make up the brotherhood of miners isnt easy to comprehend unless you have been involved in something like that. Guys knowingly risk their lives when reality says there is little chance of rescue and high probability of danger.

God bless them all as this is a very tragic story.
