401K opinions

How do you approach your 401K options? Do you just let it sit and do it's work or do you move it around?

My boss moves hers around with Small and Mid caps (higher risk), but seems to be successful if you stay on top of it.

I just moved some out of my companies stock and into smaller caps and have seen some good results.

pick some plans and let it sit. every year or so i'll reevaluate the funds i picked. change if one is underperforming.

as i get older i'll lower the risk. kills me to hear about the people in their 50's-60's that lost their asses when the market crashed. they shouldnt be in stocks at that age

if you are young, meaning under 35, i would diversify it among high growth funds in a roth ira. personal opinion obv, but yes you can move it around but take as much risk as you can right now (not individual stocks but high growth etfs)
