In the hours after the shooting, Zapruder took the film to the Eastman Kodak Company in Dallas, where it was processed (developed), and later to the Jamieson Film Company, where three colour copies were made.

Zapruder turned two of the first-generation copies over to the Secret Service that night and sold the third copy and the original film to Life magazine the following morning (November 23).

One of the Secret Service copies was subsequently loaned to the FBI, which made a second-generation copy and sent it t the FBI laboratory for analysis. There, FBI special agent Lyndal Shaneyfelt, the FBI photographic expert, assigned numbers to each of the frames, beginning with the first frame that showed the Dallas police motorcycles turning the corner from Houston on Elm.13 It has become customary to refer to each frame of the Zapruder film by Shaneyfelt's number, preceded by the letter Z for Zapruder, for example, Z186.

It is also, in the estimation of the New York Times, "the most valuable piece of film in the world,"1 the U.S. government paying Zapruder's heirs $16 million in 1999 for the original footage.

After Time-Life purchased the film from Zapruder for $150,000 in 1963 for its magazine, Lift, payable in six instalments of $25,000 per year (the first $25,000 of which Zapruder contributed to the family of slain police officer J. n Tippit),

Time-Life returned the film and copyright back to the Zapruder family for one dollar in 1975.

On April 24, 1997, the Assassination Records Review Board, on a 5-to-0 vote, declared that the Zapruder film was "an assassination record," and hence, the historic film became the property of the federal government, the board's ruling being effective as of August 1, 1998.3 However, the U.S. Constitution (the Fifth Amendment in 1791) requires the government to pay the owners of private property "taken for public use" a "just compensation," and the question became what was the original film worth. The government originally offered $750,000 but hinted it might go as high as S3 million.

The Zapruder family, led by Zapruder's son, Henry, a Washington, D.C., tax attorney, countered that it believed the half minute of history captured on the film would auction for as high as $30 million, but asked for $18 million. A three-member arbitration panel, in a 2-to-1 vote, agreed to the sum of$16 million

Today, the film and two original copies sit in a refrigerated, fireproof safe at the National Archives in College Park

Ike sent the first troops to Nam as advisors to train the S Viets, 1959. JFK increased the number, but then was going to withdraw. Bang, Bang, Bang, you're dead

that weekend was one of the saddest in my life

I caught the last hour or so the other night and there were definitely some hair raising, interesting points.
Saw this show the other night. Their were some interesting points. Botched autopsy, witnesses never brought in to testify, secret services late night partying, the fact this particular agent was a driver(I'm sure he could handle a weapon but this wasn't his primary position) are all possiblilities plus the bullet fragments. Based from the book Mortal Error.

I was 21, took the semester off to make some $$$. My Dad was a painting contractor and I was working on a home in Oak Park, with one of his other painters. Woman had her TV on in the other room when the news hit. We packed up and left the job to begin our mourning

I don't usually buy in to most of InfoWars rhetoric, however there is a lot of truth in this one. Thankfully Alex doesn't appear in the clip!

There are a number of things wrong.

1 Many gun clubs have made accurate shooting towers and little cars on railroads with a JFK dummy and other members in car. Three in one hundred shooters hit JFK. These are men who belong to shooting clubs! Any one of them is better than a score of men you pick up at a gun store.

2 The Jap Carcano is so poorly made, it commonly breaks around 60 shots fired. No way to practice with one rifle.

3 Ruby had a very gun perfect for hit man; 6 shooter with after market hammer shroud. Most pocket guns were 5 shots except his Colt.

More later...

Let's not forget that Ruby was a small time Mafioso titty bar owner. Who asked him to silence Oswald?

Good question. Ruby died of cancer four years later. Smells like a big payday for four years in the can. Ruby used his index finger as a sight guide, pointing it at Oswald, pulling trigger with middle finger. This is a style taught in Army as "point and shoot" many men can hit amazingly well this way without using the sights.
To try "point and shoot", look around the room, find a clock on wall or any wall thing, turn head, now point finger at clock. With some practice most can do it a little. Every QB has it.

Recent evidence has come forward that the Secret Serviceman in car pulled the M-16 out from hiding and unfamiliar with weapon, put finger in trigger guard, then car jerks forward as driver steps on gas causing a premature firing of rifle, hitting at least one man.

lol - that's what I said, as a kid, in 1963.. still waiting. LBJ profited political... Warren Commission was a smoke job. Gerald Ford sat on the commission, oh, then he got the Presidential gig. Kinda puts the whole Trump hysteria in perspective.
Current times CIA says shame on MBS for ordering hit.. oh, like they've never done that! Ask what became of So.VietNam's Pres. when the US/CIA got involved.

I choose to believe this version of JFK's assignation. The Mob did it.

Several years back, Dan Rather CBS special depicted this theory, which made much sense.

Another gunman could have easily been in the drain, just to the right of the limo & fired up into JFK's head, thus the back snap.

Fact gunman was in storm drain, he could have exited the area much easier, underground.

Will google for possible YouTube video of that special.
