5000th Post, Wedding, Grieving......

I would first like to acknowledge my grandmother who is fighting for her life right now in a Boston hospital. I didnt plan on making a trip home this weekend but am forced to; to say goodbye to probably the second most important woman in my life. If you have had a great relationship with your grandparents you know how tough it is and I am dreading this trip home, but its a time for me to say goodbye on our terms and see her out in a way that is respectful. I am hoping she hangs on for a little while longer but her heart and kidneys are now failing due to diabetes and she wants to die in her nursing home room rather than a hospital hooked up to machines. Its a very emotional time and its tough to even type this without tearing up.

in 8 days I am getting married to the greatest women I have ever met in my life. I know there are many married men here at the Mall. Some good, some bad, but those of you who are living the good life know that its an amazing feeling to share your thoughts and dreams with someone day in and day out. From this day, until the day I am no longer breathing, I found someone that loves me for who I am and what I represent.

5000th post.....wow. i have only been a CM member since 10/06 and I guess that makes a new guy still. I hope I have contributed to the mall in a positive manner and always tried to add a little bit of humor, fun, and some decent college hoops picks. You are all truly a great bunch of guys and gals and I have had so much fun reading, responding, posting in this forum over the last 9-10 months. I will continue to be here for anyone that ever needs any advice, a hand, or maybe even a pick here and there for as long as this forum exists. I guess in short....thanks to all the friends I have made here and I hope that this posting finds you healthy, wealthy, and wise

WCI.

Some things are inevitable.....though everyone hopes to prolong it as long as possible.

I hope she is able to share in the joys of your upcoming nuptials.

All the best WCI!!!

Windy--I know the feeling (about the pending loss of a grandparent) and of finding the "right" woman (last month was my 13th wedding anniversary).

You're a good guy. Be strong for BOTH of these women.

Evan: What? One name? ONE NAME!?!? Who are you? Seal?
Seth: Fogell, this ID says that you're 25 years old. Why wouldn't you just put 21, man?
Fogell: Seth, Seth, Seth. Listen up, ass-face: every day, hundreds of kids go into the liquor store with fake IDs, and every single one says they're 21. Pssh, how many 21 year olds do you think there are in this town? It's called f*cking strategy, alright?

Dan, I hope everything turns out ok with your grandma. I just lost mine on Monday morning and it was one of the sadest days of my life. Prayers and thoughts to you and your family and good luck on the marriage!!
