6.8 earthquake hits NZ

Hasn't effected me, I was actually asleep and never felt it. I'm a fair distance from where it was centred but people still felt it where I am.

Hopefully no deaths or serious Injuries and it is looking good in that respect.
Our buildings are well designed to cope, If a similar quake had hit a third world country I'm sure the consequences would have been far more serious.

Thanks Vic. Its the main danger here in terms of the natural disasters, we don't get many serious hurricanes or storms as u do over there.
Sounds like we escaped with no deaths which is the main thing. Buildings etc can be replaced unlike people's lives.
