Adam "Pacman" Jones

Multiple sources are reporting that TNA Wrestling has inked a deal to bring in Adam "Pacman" Jones as a professional wrestler.

Jones was suspended for the entirety of the National Football League's 2007 season (with a review of the punishment scheduled for after the tenth game) due to off-field conduct issues. His recent request to join his fellow Tennessee Titans for training camp was also denied by the NFL.

According to PWInsider, the Titans had no issue with Jones joining the TNA Wrestling roster.

This is good news. Maybe Jones will sustain a career ending injury in the ring, and then we will be rid of him once and for all.

Although early reports said Adam "Pacman" Jones had agreed to work with TNA Wrestling as a wrestler, his attorney Worrick Robinson told The Tennessean that such a report is not true.

"Pacman is talking with TNA at this time and we expect an announcement to be made in the next several days,'' Robinson said to the outlet. "It is not anticipated that he'll be wrestling, but discussions are taking place for him to have some role in their profession. But details have not be finalized.''

Robinson added that a return to the NFL is Jones' top priority—any TNA involvement would be a "short-term thing."

According to PWInsider, Jeff Jarrett came up with the idea and earned full approval from the Tennessee Titans organization, with whom he has solid contacts thanks to his Nashville background. Some within TNA were reportedly very upset that the story hit the media before its official announcement.

PWInsider reported that the deal is done, although a number of media outlets are covering the story as if talks are still ongoing. In any event, an announcement is expected soon.

Wonder if this is true, if they'll still go through with it?
