After 29 yrs in prison, out on own recog awaiting new trial.

This guy was found guilty of murdering a buddy of mines cousin. This thing has been in national news for the past 4-5 yrs.

Finally, today, a judge orders him free while awaiting a new trial.

I just was talking to my buddy. He's glad and says the state probably won't re-try this. He said he heard they (State of Montana) has set aside 80 MILLION to pay this guy.

Good question. The Missouri River runs thru Poplar. The south side of the river is not on the Rez. Not sure what side of the River the crime occurred.

This "deal" was on Dateline/48 Hours. One or both, the last 4-5 years.
