No one knows what will happen as fact but every time this comes up I like to go to Professor Rose's opinion.
According to Professor I. Nelson Rose, one of the world's leading gambling law authorities: "no United States federal statute or regulation explicitly prohibits Internet gambling, either domestically or abroad."

Not sure rules permit posting links to other sites, but if you do a Google search on 'state gambling laws', the first link is a site that I refer to often.
I don't think there is very much in the laws that prohibits what you and I do as final consumers. For example, according to my state's laws, I have done nothing illegal to date, gambling via the internet. But then again, I don't know how correct the site is, I'm not a lawyer and don't know if there has been case precedence (doubt it) so until there is, who knows what the interpretations are. Anyhow, just though I'd chime in. |

This is what my state says:
(a) A person commits an offense who knowingly engages in gambling. (b) The offense of gambling is a Class C misdemeanor. Sounds pretty cut and dried to me. |
