No one knows what will happen as fact but every time this comes up I like to go to Professor Rose's opinion.

According to Professor I. Nelson Rose, one of the world's leading gambling law authorities: "no United States federal statute or regulation explicitly prohibits Internet gambling, either domestically or abroad."

Not sure rules permit posting links to other sites, but if you do a Google search on 'state gambling laws', the first link is a site that I refer to often.

I don't think there is very much in the laws that prohibits what you and I do as final consumers. For example, according to my state's laws, I have done nothing illegal to date, gambling via the internet.

But then again, I don't know how correct the site is, I'm not a lawyer and don't know if there has been case precedence (doubt it) so until there is, who knows what the interpretations are.

Anyhow, just though I'd chime in.

Good point Doddi – check your state laws

I think you are talking about this site.

This is what my state says:

(a) A person commits an offense who knowingly engages in gambling.
(b) The offense of gambling is a Class C misdemeanor.

Sounds pretty cut and dried to me.
