Agents

I have heard a number of times that there are offshore books that have agents working in the U.S., that actually function as local books but have the backing of an offshore place, like Cris or Pinnacle (or until recently, betus). Does anyone have any further information on this? Just curious as to how it works, how much the agents make and what people's thoughts are as it relates to the new anti-gambling internet rules.

Thanks for any thoughts.

Sportsbooks have agent and affiliate programs. Agents are essentially local bookies who pay an offshoe book a fee per head to host the agent's own wagering website on their server which allows the local's clients to bet on line. The local bookie does all collecting and payout himself.

An affiliate is someone who is paid by the offshore books for signing up new customers. There are several options for compensation for this.

10000000% correct...a offshore watchdog company said that to me on the phone during the summer.....

most books that dont give you ur fiqure everytime u call uses agents..

i used guardian for awhile but they have alot of agents and im afraid they were going to get shut down.so i stopped using them..

also some books just use another company..theres a few companies out there that have nothing to do with anysportsbooks but they take ur action.there setup like a sportsbook and they pay the guy who set you up a %..thanks and good luck ..

this is better for the locals..they have less chance of getting busted in there offices (mainly in nyc)..now they sit home check there records every am and see you once a week..good luck
