AI on the Books

No, not Alan Iverson, AMERICAN IDOL!!!!! What the f**k. well, I have not been in the forum for a while, but I swear, you really can bet on anything these days.

WITH A TWIST................ Tnell's cousin in in the final 12 of American Idol. She is listed at 65-1 I believe....lol, but she is there. Those odds can change if you all help vote her in the next few weeks. Help this forum alum and vote for Melissa McGhee!!!!

As they say in Chicago, VOTE EARLY AND VOTE OFTEN!!!! Gotta love the redial button on the phone.

Question is, Jack.....if she is at 65-1 and we all power vote for her (with the redial button - legal) to get her the crown, and we win 650 on a 10 dollar bet, are we pushing the envelope of legality?????

I can't see it being a factor TNell. It would be interesting publicity. "Cappers Mall fixes American Idol" lol

I am not familar with how it works but my guess is American Idol is so big and they get so many calls then even if every member did that - it might not matter. Can you imagine how many phone calls that show must get? Do they show how many votes usually? Believe it or not, I have never watched it but I know it's a huge show!

approximately 30 million votes collected. I myself and my crew do about 1000 votes in a two hour period with 2 telephones. 22 calls every five minutes.

that would be a funny headline. "Cappersmall fixes American idol" lol.

Yeah 30 million is a lot of votes. Seriously good luck with it! I wish we could make a difference.

After weeks of battling it out in the latest edition of American Idol, the final round is upon us. From an original field of thousands, just 12 contestants remain in the show that has become one of the most popular with online bettors as well as television audiences.

Pinnacle Sports, who became the first sportsbook in the world to offer betting on the hit reality series by offering individual odds on the final 24 Idol contestants in mid-February, has updated their odds on which performer will win the popular vote and become the next American Idol.

With three weeks of performances and betting now complete, Chris Daughtry has emerged as the favourite to win the major record deal at 7/2 odds after originally opening at 8/1. Mandisa, originally deemed a 47/1 long shot by the oddsmakers, is now listed at the second-best odds of 11/2. As for the early favourites, Ace Young and Katharine McPhee remain solid contenders at 6/1 odds.

Simon Noble of Pinnacle Sports said, “We've already received a record amount of bets on this series of American Idol and anticipate thousands more wagers as the series draws to a close.”

In addition to offering wagering on who'll win the reality series, Pinnacle Sports has created several other betting options. These include contestant match-ups, odds to reach the Idol 'Final Four', whether a male or female competitor will win and who'll be eliminated next.
