I would say Alcohol just for the DUI aspect of them both. I have not heard of too many High Drivers killing innocent people while driving. Also i have never seen a guy get high and want to fight the whole bar either. Smokers are mellow when they do their thing. Some drinkers are just assholes when they get drunk. Weed doesn't seem to make people act differently from when they are not high. Most drinkers are definitely a different type of person once they have a few in them. JMO

On a side note, Thanks for fixing my emoticons Dr Jack!!!

I don't think you can really pick either as they both have devastating effects on society but in different ways.

Alcohol related deaths

MaryJane depending on the person can send them on a downward spiral just as easy

sorry man--it happens all the time.

As someone who drinks, and used to smoke pot (daily) for a LONG time (although I haven't in over 2.5 years), I think that they are both "bad" for society in their own ways. HOWEVER, unless and until alcohol becomes illegal (which will NEVER happen) or pot becomes legal (highly unlikely), you can't really compare the two. Truly apples and oranges here.

Seth: Fogell, this ID says that you're 25 years old. Why wouldn't you just put 21, man?
Fogell: Seth, Seth, Seth. Listen up, ass-face: every day, hundreds of kids go into the liquor store with fake IDs, and every single one says they're 21. Pssh, how many 21 year olds do you think there are in this town? It's called f*cking strategy, alright?

What does Keith? Are you saying that Driving under the influence of Marijuana happens all the time? I have never heard that as happening. I guess it doesnt get as much exposer as the DUI for drinking then. Thanks.

that is what I am saying. Here in NY, it is known as "drugged driving", and is covered under the DUI statute (driving under the influence).

Many people do not abuse Alcohol. In fact the Majority to do not abuse Alcohol. Still many people do abuse alcohol but not the majority.

It is a socially acceptable drug and fits in well with society imo.

because Marijuana is not used buy the public as much as Alcohol it is hard to campare the 2. As Keith said it is like comparing Apples and oranges.

But hands down Marijuana is a lot worse for society imo.

I would have 2 take some time and give a better write up as 2 all the reasons why.

alcohol is manmade, unhealthy, kills people, and makes people do stupid shyt, and worst of all, more socially accepted than marijuana

marijuana relaxes you, grows from the earth, is natural, has proven medical advantages, no long term side effects, this discussion is over imo,

there is one reason alcohol is socialy accepted, and its becuase the only way you can obtain it,, is to pay a tax for it, pretty obvious, it's a killer period, killing livers and drivers at a high rate,, and the natural medicinal herb known as marijuana dosent murder, it heals, simple,,

human nature draws us towards addiction, if im going to have a reliance on something, ill let all the drunks kill thier livers, the smokers get cancer, and at least not harm my body when putting substance into it, my vices can be the good smoke and making money, better than manipulating myself to a slow progressive death because society further accepts other vices instead,, like being a fat out of shape, drunk, tabacco smoker, lol, but any addiction is unhealthy so marijuana can be bad for some in certian situatiions, for some people,, but these people will find something either way, i just think they're better off not killing themselves in the process, jmo
