Thumbs down The Anti-Gambling Bill is now tacked on to Security Measure..sure to pass now

Too bad, they are labeling the anti-online gaming bill a security issue and coupling it with some wierd security measrue bill that most politicians will be boxed in to supporting.

Right, it passed in October... After the time it was passed, there is a 270 day period that must pass, and then the bill must be revisited and the rules regarding the bill have to be outlined and defined.
That 270 day gap is why Neteller was originally going to stick around.....

So, the bill should be revisited around April. Who knows, we may get lucky with the Democrats in the house (since a lot of them are opposed to making online gambling illegal)... There is a possibility that no rules will be defined for online gambling. We need to act on this and send letters to our senators and congressmen now.

Maybe you shoudl read the news Vegas.

There is current legilation that clearly and plainly makes internet gambling illegal. If they dont stop it now, then this Bill comes up, and they are going to piggyback it again.

I think that you are mistaken. According to a search at the Library of Congress, there is no pending legislation on internet gambling in either the House of Representatives or the Senate.

25 Bills from the 110th Congress ranked by relevance on "internet+gambling ".
0 bills containing your phrase exactly as entered.
0 bills containing all your search words near each other in any order.
0 bills containing all your search words but not near each other.
25 bills containing one or more of your search words (none contain the word "gambling")

While New York State is rumored to be considering its own legislation to ban internet gambling entirely, to date, Washington is the only state that makes it a Class C felony for an individual to gamble online.

I was under the impression that the gov't can do all of this now because it is a CURRENT law.

The 270 day thing is to allow time for the supporting agencies of the gov't to organize themselves to enforce the law.
