Any advice on buying a Tahoe?

I am test driving a 2003 Tahoe. 2WD, 45000 miles, very good cond, third row, cd, abs. They want 22,000. I think I have got them talked down to 20,000. Does this sound pretty good. Also can anyone do a carfax for me? Thanks alot.

sorry pete,
i just got a chance to check your message, i'm home now. If you can wait till morning, i let you know what we got and we have in them. I'm in Texas so you'll be smarter to buy at home, where you going to have it serviced, but maybe i can save some money with good info. With gas prices, rebates, a new body style,etc...used tahoe resell is at an all time low which is good for you the buyer(bad for me with my wife driveing an 04 z71 tahoe that i'm at least 10k upsidedown in). I'll be happy to help anyway i can.

pete,
Based on auto exchange, which is a web based nationwide inventory management tool, that most larger dealerships use because it has the latest manheim auction data,
The dealership owns that Tahoe for between 17000-17500, so you still should have quite a bit of negotiation room... good luck.

Nice man!
I'm in the hunt for a car myself.
My wife and I are on the hunt for a new 350z, I'm thinking about going over to California and buy me one and ship it back to the Island. Take it for a little spin through the outer lands before I get it back to the rock!!!

I only know one person who has a Tahoe, she has had a bunch of annoying problems that make her take it to the shop over and over again.

My advice, by foreign. Toyota SUV's are top notch, I'd take a look at them.
