Any good reads?

Any recommendations on any good books you have read? I don't read much but would like to pick up something interesting.

If its something not gambling related but still really good non-fiction, try anything by Malcolm Galdwell. Some of his stuff is opening especially when he points out how much luck plays a part in so many things in life. Lots of reviews on Amazon of his stuff.

Just forgot, also love William Poundstone. All his books are good, some of the science ones I've yet to read but his early books on debunking called "Big Secrets" and the follow up "Bigger Secrets" are great. His best book was his last one called Fortunes Formula, deals with the "Kelly Criterion Formula," and its history interwined as story involving blackjack, Wall St. Investing and horse and sports betting. Great read.

Fortune's Formula was great. Also, Black Swan by Nassim Taleb and Conquer the Crash by Robert Prechter.

Cash beat me to that one... read the Tipping Point years ago - good stuff. Two weeks ago I had to fly to Chicago for a meeting (and back the same day) - read Outliers - very interesting. Just ordered his latest compilation of essays for my stint on jury duty next week.

I'll check this one out next, looks like an interesting read based on the reviews on amazon.

Taleb is interesting if you can get by the fact that he's a huge narcissist.

I've been reading Gang Leader for a Day by Sudhir Vankatesh. It's decent so far. If you liked freakonomics you will like this book.

My favorite fantasy series of all time is The Elric Saga by Micahel Moorcock.

He is the ultimate anti-hero.

He has a sword thats alive and eats people's souls. Elric receives energy from the souls that give him super strength
