jack you run PHP correct? with mysql?

would take ms sql forever to run a search (type used on forums paricularly) I would think

The forum is php with mysql and I have some ASP stuff but I am not that familiar with any of it.

But I don't think it takes to long to run a queery on SQL anytime (again I know nothing and thus the reason I have webmasters). I can ask if you dont get your answers

The length of time for a search depends on how many tables are being referenced.

It is super fast if you are only searching ONE table.

ive read plusses and minues for both

asp strengths are more suitable for enterprise,

and php for small to medium sized businesses?

skippy a MS- Sql querie just as fast as mysql?
