Anyone else here qualify for the Paradise/Sportsbook Black Friday 100K tourney?

if so, and ur US-based too (read: s.hit out of luck post-nov 13), are you as livid as i im that they announced on the 'new' sportsbook.com that they will go forward with the tourney (sportsbook.com, click on black froday freeroll banner on upper-right corner). but then when i spoke to live support for confirmation, they said it would be so but MINUS those who qualified accessing the net from the US!!

i mean, id understand if they went and canceled the whole thing what with the whole situation and all, but to decide to carry on while conveniently sidestepping some 75-80% of the ppl who had qualified so far sucks beyond words. not the kind of conduct one would expect from sportsbook. further, it makes even less sense given that the 'new' sportsbook specifically 'changed' ownership just so it can continue catering to its US customer base! so what gives?

and the funny thing is, i entered and won a seat on this totally on a lark few weeks back in a moment of pure poker boredom. i dont even play on paradise, frist or no frist...but you gotta love it: there would have been some 300 or so planned freerolled satellite entrants by black fri nov 24, with 45 payout spots for the 100K cashola (there are no realmoney entries, u can only qualify thru a freeroll sat). is this sweet or what?

anyone else out there?

Hey what happens in Vegas, starts at Paradise. Wasn't that their slogan for a while? Get use to it. All these pokersites are cancelling their big events . Example party poker, Monster tournament. Paradise is not because it wants to build a better market for themselves, outside U.S. They have all relied on U.S. dollars, now they are scrambling , to get the european, and other markets. That is why I advocate that if this thing changes, and these sites return with their poker/sportsbook, we should not do business with them no matter what. Boycott them at all costs. Stay with the ones who, didn't run coward with people's $, and entries to an event. Sites like Pokerstars, Full tilt, and Bodog. Pokerstars has a great qualifier for their Sunday Million Tourney($215 entry). Got in , this past Sunday, after I won a $11 qualifier of around 50 players, not free , but good value. You might want to check that one out. Good luck and keep dancing

oh i know that, my friend...pokerwise, fulltilt is my home, so no worries there.

only thing is, what really makes me mad is that on their poker page on sportsbook.com they say this promo is still on (!), but they deny that when you contact their live support. so either theyre lying on their website, or theyre lying thru their live support.

either case, sportsbook is lying to its customers, and thats not nice, to say the very least. and the most ironic thing is, sportsbook 'changed' ownership just to evade the frist law and be able to continue serving US customers. which makes this specific nonsense im mentioning here all the more puzzling.

anywho, youre absolutely right and ive been saying it too that as soon as the partypokers and paradisepokers and those likes eventually return to the US market groveling and begging back for our business, we should just spit in their eye.
