Anyone Ever Have a Scratched Cornea?

I got one Friday in my left eye and it hurts like hell!!!! Went to the doctor yesterday and he said it`s a deep scratch in the center. It`s almost swelled shut and feels like there`s a rock in there and a knife cutting it when I blink or move my head. It`s also watering like Niagra Falls.

Not that bad, was taken to A and E once with a wood chip in my eye, pain was up there.

I was drilling above my head and got a hunk of wood in my eye. I went to the emergency room. The pain was indescribable. They put some Novocain drops in it and the pain was instantly gone. I asked if I could have some drops for home and they laughed at me. When it wore off the pain was even worse. I am tearing up just thinking about it.Yes it is that bad.

I hear you pwherr! I can handle pain, but this is the worst I`ve ever had.

When they put the Novocain drops in my left eye, after a couple of seconds I

thought I was all well. lmao The doctor told me that if you use the Novicain

more than 2 days your eye can develop cataracts in your eye. He gave me a

prescription for Tobramycin Ophthalmic drops and said that will numb the eye

and it has an antibiotic in it. It don`t numb the eye like the Novicain did. lol

He also gave me Hydrocodone 5 500 generic for Lortab. Good stuff!

Yep been there done that, pain is pretty decent lol
