Anyone have advice...
I am looking for a good way to make some money, trading stocks or even if you have some advice on a good job to get into without much schooling, I am very willing to do the hard work if I think it will pay off, I did look at trading options for a while but I do not have a lot of money to start out with. Maybe even a book that you think would be good to read, if you can give me a push in the right direction it would be appreciated.

Best way to make money without school is in sales. For example: writing mortgages, you can earn $50,000 - $100,000 or more within a year, depending on how hard you want to earn it.
Trading can make you a lot of money but it's a complicated talent. I'm learning everything I can right now and I'm barely making money. But I love it and I'll get better because it's fun for me. Outside of that, make a list of things you enjoy and look for careers that involve them. (I like hot girls- what careers will place me as an authority around them on a consistant basis? -- tanning salon, yoga center, bars, beauty salons, strip clubs, you get the idea) Anything you do just to make money but you don't enjoy you'll get bored and fail eventually. Salmon fishermen in Alaska make good money but they smell like shit and can could get eaten by a walrus. Good luck! If you want a good book to steer you, try Tony Robbins' "Ultimate Power". Banana Hands knows his stuff.

Thanks for the answer, Im 26 right now and have went to school for about four years, switched majors in the middle, but never graduated. Now I am paying rent and working full time so it would be hard to go back, plus I really wasnt in to it or learning much any way. The boredom thing definitely makes sense to me because just about every job I have had, and I have switched pretty often, I have hated everyday I had to wake up and go there for that reason, it has always just been a way for me to make money but never anything I could see myself in longterm. I am pretty smart (I had a full scholorship) and know I could do something if given the chance and I liked it but I dont really know what to do. I feel like I am wasting my time at the jobs I am at now with nothing better coming in the future and I have had a great girlfriend for almost eight years so I want something better. Anyways, hoping to see some light at the end of the tunnel so anyone with any advice on something that may have helped them would be appreciated.

One guy I know wanted to live in Hawaii so he got a degree in hotel management and moved there. Makes a good living and surfs on his days off.
A girl I dated is a travel nurse. Makes $40 an hour and has total control where and when she wants to work next. My friend Rob is a director creating a TV show right now. Loves video editing and visual motion art. My friend Tommy teaches guys how to pick up women through seminars at $2800 a head. Just a few ideas that are out of the NY business district. |
