Anyone like horror movies?

I am a self proclaimed horror movie fanatic. Ever since I was a little kid I loved the movies. Problem now is that hollywood doesn't really put any in theatres anymore, and now I live in an area that doesnt' have any video stores that I can rent. All they have around here is those red boxes, and those are pretty limited.

Huge Fan here. Anything 1960's on up.

Never got into silent horror films.

It's nice to read on the evolution of Horror Flicks--beginning with the addition of sounds to horror films that many theatre goers fell unconscious to the the sight of a roaring monster or even a drop of blood. Nowadays MUSIC creates the best suspense.

Anyways, I won't say anything else as it's better searching and finding about this by ourselves when we're big fans.

Use to be a big fan of the old Friday the 13th when I was a youngster. Now looking back, how could you be scared? lol. The new ones these days are more gory & with special effects really make them scary & vicious.

I just watched Friday the 13th part 4 the other night. It really had me on the edge of my seat even now. I love Hitchcock films. One movie that I thought was given a bad rap was the Blair Witch Project. It had that "real fear feeling" to it. I see a new one called "The Last Exorcism" looks to be pretty good. Even though it is just probably being remade from existing ideas.

I dont like horror movies. To purposely try and be creeped out is not my idea of entertainment.
