Anyone From Minneapolis

Heading out to Minneapolis end of Oct for the Eagles game. I am staying about 5 blocks from the metrodome and I was trying to find out what areas we should go to for our drinking, and where else should we check out while out there. How is the tailgating, and how cold is it ucually end of oct. Thank u

What hotel are you at?

There are a ton of good bars in that area. The warehouse district is where alot of good bars are by the Target Center

October weather could go either way. It could be 70 or we could get two feet of snow like we did back in 1991 on Halloween.

Tailgating is horrible now. There used to be alot of parking lots around the dome that people tailgated in now. Most of those are gone now. I would suggest going to a bar before the game. You won't likely find alot of people tailgating anymore

Thanks for getting back to me Gerk. We r staying at the Hyatt Regency. They said it is about 7 blocks from the warehouse district. So if we cant tailgate what time do the bars open up at and r there any nearby that we can walk to the game and back afterwards. Thanks

I think on Sunday, most open by 9 or so, some maybe earlier than that.

If the weather cooperates, you should be able to walk to most bars if you are staying at the Hyatt. Alot of bars have shuttle buses to the Dome from the warehouse district. I know the Loon Cafe does, at least they did last year when I went to a couple games.
