Anyone seen "Green Zone" with Matt Damon?

First off lemme say Im not a big political nut, I dont follow CNN daily, I dont get into huge arguments daily about Iraq and stuff. Im just saying this because I have no problem saying I know very little about the details of whats happening in Iraq compared to most. I just dont trust half the shit I see on TV so most of the time I dont watch. Im not one of those people that thinks "well Tom Brokaw said it so it must be true." Im not ripping those people either, just giving you a quick background of my intelligence of Iraq, which is limited lol.

Onto the movie :

How much of this is true?

Is it just me or does the middle east just seem like the most miserable, untrusting, messed up place on Earth? and its not even close

Its really gonna be 10 friggen years this yr since 9/11, has anything really changed?

Im not trying to start a Iraq debate here, just comments on the movie and those few questions

Thanks

Also, politics aside, thought it was a great movie

I actually just watched it. I found it to be a thoroughly entertaining film.

That said, I am a 'righty' by nature. It makes for a good story, and is definitely conceivable, I refuse to believe that our country would live a continuous lie for that long deliberately just to keep the war going. I understand we didn't find any WMDs and our intel may have been wrong, but I would also understand if some murderous asshole came forward saying 'oh no we don't have anything here' and our leaders being skeptical believing that.

Being that we didn't find WMD's, maybe the Iraqi regime should have been a little less shady and more people would have believed them when they came forward to say they actually didn't have WMD's.

I don't consider myself that political in nature so I'm sure my ignorance is showing, just my two cents that I thought I would share since I watched the movie tonight.

If u want some more answers, ask this to be moved to the political section. As for Matt Damon and this film, I think it has some truth to it. The lie continues....

Yes, I've seen the movie. Based on a true story but so much is missing to it.

Sattelite imagery actually caught many Iraqi heavy equipment trucks crossing into the Syrian border in long lineups (1-3 months) before the first missile was launched on Bagdhad.
