Anyone think this may be a great Idea?

I was sitting at home friday night having a few cocktails. I asked my wife what was for supper she said we would have to order pizza for delivery. My wife dont drive and I dont drink and drive. I live in a town where only a few places deliver,and I was really hungy for a fish fry. So I called my niece and she drove down and picked a couple of fishfries up for us so I gave her 10 bucks for doing it. I started thinking if a delivery service idea would be a great part time income. I would pick up orders for people at basically any food place in town charge them say 3 bucks for doing it and pocket all tips for myself. I know a delivery driver who told me on a good night he can pull in a 100 bucks in tips. Does anyone know what legal steps I would have to do first and how much that would cost? Or do you think this is really a stupid idea. I always wanted to have my own business.

We used to have a service like that in Montreal. A la carte express. They used to deliver from restaurants that didn't have delivery services. It was great. They used to comp us Häagen-Daz for dessert because we used them so often for a while. Those were the days.

Don't forget how much gas is right now. Price has to be up. Plus the wear and tear on your car will add up over time. Not sure if you are using a newer or older car

We have a couple of those services here in SLC....pick up from any restaurant and deliver to you. I've never used them, and don't know what they charge, but I seem to remember hearing it's around $10. Not sure how many people use them.
