Anyone try the Dukan diet or know anyone?

Pretty crazy, I've been on it 3 days and you lose about 2 lbs a day but you feel like crap all the time. Hate that you can't have any veggies or fruit, not sure I can ride this one out.

I thought about doing it to kick start my weight loss plan, but I just couldn't pull the trigger. I could live w/o veggies, but no fruit is a deal breaker.

yeah i dislike the fad diets myself.. Im all about the lifestyle change. Watching calories and eating variety of foods. Watching to not overeat or eat after 8 p.m. is the big key too.. Of course you need to exercise too. I got back into running a little and lifting weights.. You feel good when you do it. It just sucks running but the key is to start out really light and run like a mile at first and gradually go up.. You cant just get out there and run like 3 or 4 miles right away.. gotta do it gradually...

Actually it's the opposite, your body takes longer to process protein which is the reason you feel full longer.

Diets last as long as you stay on them. If it is not something you can keep doing then eventually the weight comes back. IMO better to make lifestyle choices, being more active eating less, stop snacking, or making healthier choices when it comes to food. I am 6'2 and put on weight when I got a desk job. I went from 280 to 200 in about 14 months just moving not being so stationary, cut out soda and sugary coffee drinks, eating less, and making better choices. I would still eat a cheeseburger, but once a week versus 4-5 times. Also fast food will throw on the lbs.

Yeah, I think cutting out soda will go a long way in helping you lose weight.
