Ask me this , in regards to these senseless murders

I have to post this, and this may not get me any more votes for the ' nice poster ' award... which I am honored that I am mentioned by they way..

But this is about something in our country that I really do NOT understand.

We are supposed to have government representation of views and opinions we have.

So why... I am serious... why are those cowardly murderers that are convicted without any doubt, allowed to live ??? Period.

Why should they be allowed to eat our provided food, in buildings we provide and subsidize for them, while those families that they have barbarically destroyed and ruined , suffer in memory of their lost loved ones ?

I know, and I am certain, that if every single American was asked if some of these people should be immediately put to death in a terrible and humiliating way. the voting would be in great favor of doing so.

Do you not think that if someone sees a convicted killer put to death soon after their horrendous crime, especially in a possibly and maybe obviously torturous method, that it just may Stop someone else from doing so ??

tired of our ' holier than thou ' attitudes and mercy for those that have done so much harm.

Put them away to meet their maker and perhaps it will discourage the next person.

Sorry

Because everyone has rights in America.

Are you saying you don't this guy from today's shootings to have trial and just be done away with as soon as possible without discovering more facts?

There are literally hundreds of cases where death row convictions have been overturned at a later date.

Death row sentences in most cases in the US are actually costlier than life in prison sentences, with the high cost of the many, many years of appeals.

There is no proven data that the death penalty prevents violent crime. When Texas started going ape-shit on killing murderers, their violent crime rate didn't change, and they are still one of the worst states. When Canada abolished the death penalty, the murder rate did not go up whatsoever.

And personally I think sitting in a cell 22 hours a day in a supermax prison for 40+ years is much worse than getting put to death in a non-violent way. JMO.

If he/she has a trial and is found guilty, all the facts should have been presented...done deal, over..
be gone.

he / she got much more of a fair shake than the victims did. Plus, I cannot and will not believe that hanging a guy can cost more than keeping him in jail for 40 years, and I do believe that it would be more of a detriment for others than life in jail... because they know what hanging means and they have less ideas of what life in jail would be.

I can defiantly see both points here.

Death row killings could save a lot of tax payers money. But sitting in a cell till you die is fair as well. I think no parole and after 20 years u are killed is a good middle.

because shit like this could happen.

DNA clears Texas man who spent 30 years in prison - Yahoo! News

how would you feel if a close one got convicted of murder in the 1st degree, executed, and find out years later he was wrongly accused and innocent?

Give the guy an honest trial. The trial starts Monday, there is no doubt from all accounts who it was. The trial ends soon, hang the SOB the next day, he took at least 5 peoples rights today his only right left is a fair trail and then those peoples rights get protected.

Agree , if one person is wrongly executed it is a bad thing. Life in prison would be ok if they didn't make so nice for them. Solitary for life, no human contact. Lifetime alone with your thoughts to think about what you have done.

And what plausible defense would this guy have other than insanity?
