Automatically shutdown your PC before you go to bed and save money on electric bill.
Maybe everyone has this capability and Im just slow?
Anyway I have been trying to save money like everyone else and thought it would be nice to have my PC shutdown for the night at the time I normally go to sleep. I know some of you dont sleep! It costs me about $20 per month to run my computer and thats with some shutdown time. Will save me about $80 per year which isn't much, but it all adds up.
SDS (Shutdown Scheduler) allows you to automatically reboot, shutdown or hibernate your computer in standby mode. You can trigger the computer shutdown, or application close action at a given time, after a countdown elapses, when the computer is idle, or when specific conditions are met. The program ca also save a desktop capture before shutting down, terminate modem connections, close applications and more.
This link is for a free, simple, easy to use program if interested. Works nicely.
