Back from the hospital
Been gone the last week....hopefully some of you noticed.

Many of you know that I destroyed my knee last summer, and some have seen the pics.

Just had my 4th surgery. Got back from the hospital today. Looks like about 40 staples, 1 stitch, and a drain tube for the fluid.

Fun, fun, fun!!

Yeah, Shark...worse than his, though. Ruptured my quad tendon in my fall, then reruptured it in therapy. Only NFLer who knows what that's like is Ahman Green.

wow ruptured the quad tendon and then ruptured it during therapy?? Im a PT and I dont think that should happen bro. What kind of surgery did you just have thats a very long incision

In my second surgery, the doc doubled up my hardware to hold the quad on. My re-rupture was likely a combo of my quad strength and the way my muscles were really hating the screws and anchors, not over-agressive therapy.

The last two surgeries were for scar tissue. I've developed arthrofibrosis, which is really tough to clear, and freezes your knee up, especially the patellar tendon. My doc said I had a ton a fibrosis in there below my femur, behind my patella, and around the tendon. He's really good...worked for a long time with Dr. Noyes in Cincy, the top arthrofibrosis guy in the country. I'm home now on a CPM and ice.
